What the Control System Does
The Semsons Tech PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) is the computational brain of the machine. It receives the wax model coordinate file, translates coordinates into motion commands for all 5 servo axes simultaneously, manages stone pickup sequences across the 3 suction nozzle heads, and monitors production quality in real time.
Unlike machines running adapted general-purpose CNC software (FANUC, Siemens, Mitsubishi CNC — designed for metal cutting), the Semsons Tech controller runs a jewellery-native OS written from scratch. Every menu, every parameter, and every workflow is designed around wax setting — not machined-part production.

5-Axis Simultaneous Coordination
The core challenge in 5-axis CNC jewellery setting is real-time coordination of all five servo axes while also managing stone pickup, verification, and placement in the correct sequence. The Semsons Tech PLC executes this coordination at the controller level — not in software layers above the hardware — giving sub-millisecond response times and ±0.02mm positional accuracy.
