The Intelligent Identification System is a Semsons Tech proprietary technology — developed in-house over multiple years of machine learning and field testing in active jewellery factories.
Integrated directly into the machine's control system, it uses a high-resolution optical sensor to continuously analyse the stone tray. Before each drill operation, the system verifies that:
- A stone is present in the suction nozzle
- The stone is correctly oriented
- The stone size matches the specified parameter
- No duplicate stone is held (double-pickup prevention)
- The target drill position is unobstructed
If any check fails, the system pauses, corrects, or alerts the operator — rather than proceeding with a wrong-placement drill that would damage the wax model and waste the stone.

Automated detection ensures every drill position is filled correctly — eliminating the most common quality defect in manual and semi-automated setting.
No Wrong-Position Drilling
The system cross-references the programmed model coordinates with the physical position before every drill. Wrong-position drills — which destroy wax models — become virtually impossible.
Automatic Error Correction
When a nozzle fails to pick up a stone, the system automatically retries from the stone tray before alerting the operator — minimising production interruptions.
Real-Time QC Data
Every setting operation is logged — stone size, position, timestamp, and outcome — providing complete quality records for each batch.
